More details Formigal is part of the Aramón ski group of five resorts situated within the central Pyrenees and southern Aragon. The other resorts are Cerler, Panticosa, Javalambre and Valdelinares. Ski Formigal has 16 lifts within its 507 acres of terrain that is suitable for all levels, including terrain park enthusiasts. 137 kms are piste and there are 53 trails at Formigal.

Beginners ski Formigal is a great place to learn to ski or board as a group, individual or family. Internationally qualified instructors with excellent language skills making learning and improving fun. Classes for all levels from complete beginner to advanced can be arranged.
Beginner ski runs The resort has a beginners learning area and 7 green runs with 18 blue runs for gradual progession. Chairlifts are ski beginner friendly.

History Formigal occupies four different high mountain valleys defining three sectors to ski to:
Tres Hombres (Crestas), Izas, Anayet and El Portalet.
Each valley is accessible by car and a bus service, with a parking and service
area at its base from where the chair lifts depart.
Intermediates ski Formigal is an intermediate skiers and boarders paradise. The area offers 33 out of 97 red slopes ranging from wide open piste to narrow tree lined runs spanning the full 137km. Its 39 black runs then await those wishing to progress.

In the village you will find a good selection of cafés and bars ranging from typical Spanish bars to trendy chill out lounges. The resort has a number of nightclubs and late bars for those looking to go on to the early hours.
Eating out You will find the standard of food in your hotels to be excellent with good quality food and extensive buffet selections in most hotels. Many of the 4* hotels also offer an à la carte dining restaurant as an alternative to the half board dinner.
In the village, the eateries are plentiful and offer choices to suit all tastes and budgets. Traditional tapas bars, pizzerias, and typical mountain cuisine are a short distance from the hotels.
Shopping Formgial village centre has a nice selection of shops mainly offering ski and board wear and equipment and souvenirs. You will find prices of ski and board gear competitve and many shops offer a testing service before you buy.
